about

The Quattro Concerto is a composition by Dutch composer Luc Houtkamp, which recalls the grand baroque concertos of the 18th century. Using a combination of instruments from the baroque era and from the electronic age, the piece gives a contemporary view on the genre. In five parts well known forms, such as toccatas, fugues and dances give room to the four musicians to compete with each other in different settings and combinations.
It is a unique opportunity to see four virtuoso musicians on one stage who come from very different musical backgrounds: baroque, rock, jazz and classical music. The composition incites them to musical achievements far beyond their own stylistic boundaries!
